October Ladies Handgun Safety Class

The Ladies Handgun Safety Class at Redwood Gun Club is offered every other month, with the next one on October 17 at 8:30 am. This will be the final Class for the 2015 year. The class is an opportunity to learn safe gun handling, and to try out several different handguns. There is no charge for the class.

Class covers safe handgun handling, range protocol and etiquette, the basic differences between handguns, sight picture, and basics of safe handgun shooting. Only Ladies are allowed on the handgun range during class.

You don't need to own a handgun to attend this class. A handgun will be available for the shooting section of the class. If you have a handgun, bring it, unloaded, with appropriate ammunition with you. Hearing protection is required, over the ear hearing protection is recommended, foam ear plugs are available at the range. Eye protection is always a good idea.

In addition to the Ladies Handgun Safety Class, the 4th Saturday of every month, is Ladies Day at the range, from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. The LHSC instructors are able to spend more personal time with students, answer their questions, show them and let them shoot different types of handguns. If you are considering a purchase of a handgun, we may have the “type” of handgun you might be interested in available at the range, and be able to help you on what to look for when you consider purchasing a new handgun. Remember, only Ladies are allowed on the handgun range during the safety class and Ladies 4th Saturday.
